Give listeners a written way into an episode. A transcript helps you find a quote, check a passage, or prepare captions for a video excerpt. Start with a short, clear section of your recording and review it before publishing. The original audio stays on your device.
Prepare an episode excerpt
Use the original MP3, WAV, or M4A rather than audio captured from a loudspeaker. Music under speech and guests talking over each other make recognition harder. The current limits are 200 MB and 20 minutes: split a longer episode in your recording editor before selecting a file here. Keep an ordered list of those parts.
Review names before publishing
Replay segments that mention guests, brands, links, or specialist terms. Correct these directly in the transcript. Voices are not automatically labeled, so add host and guest labels yourself if your published transcript needs them. A quote should remain faithful to the recording, even when you tidy surrounding notes.
Reuse text and timed captions
Download TXT to draft show notes or find passages for a newsletter. Download SRT or VTT for a video podcast excerpt. The tool does not write show notes or chapter summaries for you. When you split an episode, each part starts its own timecode at zero; adjust offsets in your editor before combining captions.
A practical review example
Illustrative review, not a model accuracy claim: Audio: “Today our guest is Ana Costa.” Check: the guest’s preferred spelling. Output: an edited transcript plus optional timed captions.
